Photo Manipulation is the application of image editing techniques to photographs in order to create a new composition. Unlike photo retouching where the images are color corrected, blemishes such as skin defects, scratches and other unwanted imperfections are removed. With Photo Manipulation many images, sketches or 3D renderings can be combined to create a new photo realistic composition.

Photo Manipulation is perfect for book covers, ads, posters and personal photos. Below are some photo manipulation work done by SKW Graphics which depicts some of the endless possibilities that can be achieved ,when you combine professional talent with vivid imagination.

MR. CLEAN & The Barrio

Our client supplied the photo of the two models taken by professional photographer Dave Good and requested that we make it look like they were sneaking out a back alley.

After finding the perfect alley photograph we proceeded to remove the studio background from the original photo. The photo was then color corrected and shaded to match its new background. The final steps were adding the title and other relevant information to the cover.

HOLLYWEED

Hollyweed was a bit more challenging project for us here at SKWGraphics. We not only had to remove the background but we also had to remove a model from another one of Dave Good's photographs and add her into the new composition. An extra smokey effect was also added using photoshop techniques and the colors were tweaked a bit. Finally the title and accompanying text were added to create yet another compelling book cover for Urbano Book Publishing.
